Great find near the coastline of Georgetown, this cafe is definitely a good place to chill and have coffee/food after a long day of walking around.. Only downside is that it closes early (same with other places in the area).

It's my third visit since the first a few years back. Don't get me wrong. Nothing to do with the food. Simply because the pocket hurts =PWell, that's because this place serves dishes that're really pleasant to your taste buds compared to averag-ish western food choices in other cafes. Also, their Aussie Iced Caffe Latte is second to none on the island. Initially I was hesitated to order because it's priced at RM18, but my gawd, the first sip blew me away. It could taste a tad sweet, however, for people without a sweet tooth. The cafe is spacious and has a lightwell, making it a great place for catch-ups. There are also local reads about Penang's history for sale =)No comments about the presentable bakeries and confectionaries as I haven't tried them.I'm keeping that one star for their room of improvement. 'Cause I hope that they'll lower the food price or come up with affordable dishes that are good as the ones on the menu =P

A rustic and cosy cafe located in the heart of George Town heritage area. The cafe has a menu which is more catered for breakfast/brunch, but there are some options on the menu to fill up one’s tummy. They have a wide variety of beverages, ranging from caffeinated, non-caffeinated, soft drinks, right up to beers(!).Their choice of desserts are quite limited though - they don’t serve cakes or something similar.

Good coffee (could have been fair bit hotter) and nice western style breakfasts.Lovely rustic building inside with an indoor courtyard feel.We had the smoked salmon toast and Avocado Toast 3 Ways (last photo) although bread was warmed, rather than toasted. Perhaps menu should say “toast 3 ways” as only 1 slice is topped with some avocado.

Taste: 3/5 ⭐ | Service: 4/5 ⭐ | Ambience: 5/5 ⭐Price: RM86.80 | Number of pax: 2We ordered Dirty Orange, Iced Hojicha Latte, Avocado Toast 3-Ways and Hungarian Breakfast. Drinks were okay, not bad. The name of the toast was a little misleading and we assumed it was going to be 3 types of avocado toast. It was just 3 types of toast (1 of it being avocado toast). As for the Hungarian Breakfast, we found it a little too heavy because the hollandaise sauce plus the poached egg is too rich. The Hungarian sausage does balance it out a little.Best item of the visit: Dirty OrangeWill we return: MaybeFollow on Instagram @mealtimeagain

The portion of clam was satisfying. Didn’t as spicy as I thought, the spiciness come from ginger. But overall the taste was not bad. Their black coffee was not bad too. Variety of food selection (all looks good !) the space was large enough to host big gathering

Nice setting and atmosphere, perhaps best for teatime. I had the red wine sauce chicken, and it was rather oily for me, and just tasted like ordinary chicken chop. The kombucha was interesting. I couldnt drink much, but my friends enjoyed it.Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Despite long que but serving fast. Take opportunities to walk around while waiting for your food. Food and coffee taste good at reasonable price, Friendly staffs and nice and cosy open environment,

Good ambience and quiet environment. Spaghetti is delicious especially the sliced chicken on it. Lemongrass drink is average. The price is reasonable since you do not need to pay the entry fee for the fort sightseeing. After meals, I recommend you to take a walk around. It is worthwhile. Customer service can be improved further. Overall I would give 4 stars for now until further review in future.

Nice environment for breakfast. Drinks were served almost immediately after ordering and Food was served within 20 minutes after order, which for me, is acceptable. Meatball Spaghetti and avocado breakfast set taste good.

Love this place for dimsum. Went on a Sunday late morning/lunch time and it was packed so had to wait 30 minutes but worth it. You simply walk up to the dimsum lady and tell her which dishes you like from what she has on the steamers. Star dish les for us were the prawn chee cheong fun and siew mai!The place was nicely decorated for mid-autumn festival as well.

I give it 4stars for the authenticity, and the quality of meat served in this dim sum shop. Of course do not compare it to the hotel standards. However for the price you pay you get your money's worth. The fried yam cake is good, so are the steamed dim sum dishes. The table setting is abit tight, but for a quick breakfast fix this is a good dim sum stop !

We went there on weekday around lunch hour and we are seated near the entrance. Love their environment, ambient, and the vibe. The bar looks nice, the staff is friendly at least to us.We ordered two drinks and one dessert since we had lunch earlier. The grape fruit cold brew is surprisingly interesting and refreshing at the same time. The dessert is OK.

Lovely cafe located at Love Lane (with adequate car park next door at RM5 per entry), this place offers a pretty decent variety of western cuisine such as pizza, pasta and meat and fish dishes on top of great coffee!Prices are reasonable for Malaysian standard (cost of living has gone up so much over the years!) and food taste good 👍

HongKong 8am

Opens at 8am so it’s a great destination for breakfast for those hankering for Hong Kong style food including Polo buns, noodles, rice etc. very reasonable prices for the food which is very decent. Not too much seating on the ground floor though.Parking can be a bit on the difficult side though, unless you’re really early.

The restaurant name very special Hong Kong 8am. It open from 8am where able to take nice breakfast before depart back to KL. The ambiance very spacious with the HK style and several known HK artist as wallpaper. Overall satisfied with great food and beverage 👍

This restaurant serving Hong Kong style breakfast. The signature of this shop is their ice bucket milk tea. It is one of the best milk tea I have tasted. It is superb. Their polo bun also very nice. Besides this, they also have Hong Kong style egg noodles which is also delicious and worth to try. The environment is cozy and air-conditioned. But the lighting a little bit dim. The staff are friendly also.

Relocated. New place is bright and spacious. Ordered the Urban's Really Big Breakfast and a cup of cappuccino. Taste wise is satisfactory. The bacons, sausage and breads are noteworthy. Portion is just enough for 2 pax who have average appetite.Service is good. Staff are polite. Strangely Map still guide us to the old location thought it shows new address.

Arrived bit after 0730 and was told that kitchen is ready for ordering only at 0800. Not a big deal as you can order drinks first while waiting. Really big breakfast was disappointing. Homemade pork sausage was bit porky and bland. Sourdough toast saved the dish. Latte arrived lukewarm. Servers were friendly and welcoming. Big plus. Might come back and try other dishes.

We ordered quite a lot - pastries, cakes, sandwich and coffee. The coffee was OK. The cakes were OK. The devil's food cake was nice. Pastries were not so flakey and light. The level of cleanliness was not so great. This affected our overall experience. Mouldy walls ...damp walls. We sat at the section after the cake counter... right at the end. Water pipes from upstairs were there. It was very very dirty. Black n mouldy . Lots of flies too!!! With the flies and the filthy corner, we had half the mind to get up and leave!!Since we ordered so much, we quickly ate and left.First and last. Tq.

Great place to pop into for a coffee, some eggs on toast, or a pasta. Everything I have eaten here is excellent. (If you prefer your eggs on a croissant, you can order one from next door at Rainforest Bakery --thier other business-- and they will use that too.)Great service, and a good vibe. 100% reccomend.

This cafe is 1 of my fave places to hang out. Cozy setup.However...the food quantity shrunk, food quality also not at their best d.Mr. Egg Benedict used to have thick bacon now the bacon become slim and sexy 🤭.Shashouka taste like mamak fish curry and plenty of onion, I think I saw 1 egg only and few pieces of sausage, 2 slices of bread and they charge for Rm26. Not only that, the whole thing is very dry.Dirty Chai Latte is still good. Will I be back here? Yup...for the coffee only.To my muslim friends, this cafe is not halal ya.

Price is fairPlace is okayOnly come if you have alot of free time as when you order pasta for lunch at a none busy hour you're expected to wait at least 30 minutes even when there's only 3 tables. Be warnedPerhaps burning the bits of the grilled chicken was part of the wait , you be the judge

Came here in a weekday morning, looks a bit like the restaurant in Hong Kong but run down and empty inside. There are menu stick on the wall so you have to crane abit to look at it if it’s too far for you, not fancy about it.My friends were ordered the set RM15 with toast, eggs and drinks. I ordered the breakfast set RM12 with only drinks. Taste was just okay, the toast shouldn’t have the kaya if in Hong Kong restaurant. No polo bun here, kinda disappointed.

Hong Kong style breakfast, they have set A,B,C,D and lots more ala carte food. Their breakfast set is very huge portion. One main, one drink, two eggs, sausage, and toast. Pretty full for us.Most of the table suitable for max 4 person per table. We came here on weekday breakfast and not much crowds. Price is affordable given that the portion and taste wise is good.

Had the pork chop mee goreng, which is essentially indomie goreng topped with 2 pieces of pork chop and sunny side up egg. Cheap, familiar food for brekkie. The lumberjack breakfast is also mediocre with scrambled eggs, sausage, ham and toasts.

This eateries is located inside Temple compund. Limited parking inside, if it is full, car can be park at the back of the temple compound within a close walk. Notice the place has few stalls, the western breakfast (遇见吃货), Kuey Teow Soup, and 1-2 other stall and a drink stall. Seating, hygiene and environment is ok. Not many people. Ordered an English Breakfast set B RM14.5; the French Fries make up large proportion in the English Breakfast. The scramble eggs taste like a lump of pudding. Taste is very average. Tbh, not recommend for English breakfast.

Used to be our family favorite weekend breakfast place for good food and good environment, but not anymore If you're in for environment, then this is the right place. Had a visit recently and was disappointed with the food. Menu choice has shrunk to 5 mains but that is understandable as they cut down on wastage post covid. Portion was tiny given its price. RM50++ for a double patty beef burger and the patty came in smaller than McDonald's beef patty. The smoked salmon egg Benedict was disappointing too. The in house smoked salmon was disappointing too. It was like salted cooked salmon flakes. Nothing close to what you'd expect. The muffin was somehow very chewy and tough. Ordered iced latte, iced mocha and hot mocha. None of us finished the drinks. The mocha tasted like diluted chocolaty water. I hope the owner can look into it and bring back the good old days. It's overpriced with mediocre food.

Our stay in Ferringhi would not be completed without dropping by Ferringhi Coffee Garden. Welcome by natural and real plants and the staff are friendly, the barista brew my latte art with a bear face gave me a wow. The friendly staff have initiative to offer us take photos and their photo taking skills is profession 😁😁

Took me some time to find this hidden place, need to walk behind the shops to enter A cozy environment with chill English songs in the background and the drizzling rain, what a beautiful view The food tasted great, but the portion was smaller than expected. I'm glad that they even provide complimentary plain water, even though I didn't order drinks. Customer service was excellent. Recommended breakfast spot.

The hawker stall is famous with their prawn noodle (Har Mee) and curry noodle. Another thing is their signature drink in Bobo Tin. Unfortunately didn’t manage to try out their curry mee but definitely will go there once again if I got the chance. Recommend their har mee, even they didn’t have the strong har mee taste, but it is very refreshing and everything is balance. If you prefer to have strong har mee soup, then I would suggest you to go "Green House Prawn Mee Corner". Char Kuey Teow is from another stall but it probably the best for me (Not as oily as other place). The environment is open space in the middle of the building with no shading. Not recommend to go when it is raining.

I see a lot of good reviews, bad luck for me during my visit. Limited car parking space and narrow, also I need to clean the table for myself still get sound by the auntie there.
