Overall, pleasant experience. Food was tasty, arrived promptly. Ramen portion was decent. Only feedback is menu doesn't have description for food that is Fusion, eg; basil fusion ramen.

Located at a cosy nook opposite Gama supermarket, it is tastefully decorated. The food served is premium standard Japanese cuisine. Their presentation and serving size rival and sometimes exceed that of other equivalent Japanese restaurants. The only drawback is that they should expand to the neighbouring unit as well to accomodate more diners. My favourite White Tuna(Shiro Maguro)Sashimi came fresh, plump and flavourful at just the right temperature. For a more filling choice, opt for Shake Tataki Maki and Unagi Tataki Maki. Between the two choices, go for the Unagi Tataki Maki which comes with avocado. The Seared Hotate serving is a bit small yet I give them points for a close to sashimi natural taste complemented by sauces, roe and seaweed. Avocado Milk is actually a smoothie served in a tall glass. Their small space means no room for a kaiten belt. I don't mind since I prefer my sushi made fresh. Therefore I was most impressed by their Ebikko Hana Maki salmon sushi. I find Ikura Maki too salty so I stick to the Hana Maki which has been my favourite when I tried it some years ago at a major sushi chain. If you order hot green tea, it is refillable as the wait staff will periodically check on you. The standard Chawan Mushi comes with faux shark fin. It is served in a dainty ceramic vessel. To avoid the crowd or having to book in advance, dine in on a weekday evening as their small unit can be inundated during busy weekends. Be patient and you will be attended to. The food quality is worth it.

I gave 4 stars. Food is good and beyond my expectation. The taste is a little bit stronger and good for those prefer strong taste. Kirin ramen is special and fit my taste. Pork kimchi rice also nice. Takoyaki is crunchy and taste sweet. However portion is small looking at the price tag. Service is good. No issue of parking just park at Gama and walkover.

Overall above average. Do try their cheese baked oyster, palm sized big and taste good. The unagi fry rice was an unexpectedly good combination. Curry Katsu was aromatic. The salmon was fresh. However, quite thirsty after the meal, suspected to be to much MSG haha.

Menya Miyabi Hokkaido Ramen (Queensbay)

Ultimate place to go if you are a Japanese Ramen fan. Superb quality ramen with all ingredients air flown from Hokkaido. 3rd visit to Menya Miyabi.Set Lunch offer during 12-2pm weekdays. Basically same with normal dish except extra drinks and mini don aside. Set Lunch Ramen is only 80gm noodle while Normal Ramen is around 100-120gm noodle (info provided by staff).Grilled Pork Belly Skewer is superb and melts in your mouth. Ramen Broth is on the thick side, for me is what I enjoyed most for their thick soup. Maybe its suitable to call it as "sauce" instead of "soup" haha.Would revisit. Worth every penny spent here. RM80+ for two pax food (1 set lunch, 1 Pork Bone Ramen with Grilled Pork Belly Skewer, 1 Gyoza).

The service attitude is very good. I made an appointment with a friend to come together on the same day. The food was served, but the friend hadn't come yet. The ramen has been soaked for too long. When friends finally arrive, the waiter will come and ask if they need to make a new one. It makes me feel very warm.

This is the best Ramen especially its soup thickness and aroma. Its staff service is good.If looking for improvement, I would suggest to bring its ramen Noodle to higher level...in terms of springy

Fresh salmon is yummy! Oysters are good too, fried rice portion is okay if additional side dishes are ordered. Tried their bibikara ramen and it is really spicy and portion is huge.

Overall, good experience to dine in Dozo. The food is decent. The place is spacious and the crew are attentive. Personally fond to their Ten-don, and Maki that was made with cucumber wrap but without rice inside. Interesting combination. Bacon with asparagus - all time favourite but would prefer not so burnt. Salmon sushi and sashimi set meal are gems. More to explore in their menu, definitely worth second visit.

The food is healthy, fresh and delicious. The portions r surprisingly big. No doubt the menu here leans on the pricey side but for an experience, it's 👍🏻. Soft shell crab not oily, salmon melts in ur mouth n the mushroom dish is yummy 😋.

The food is very exquisite, authentic Japanese food. The menu itself is very special because there's a wide selection of seafood and meat to pick from and the homebrew lemon beer is very refreshing. There's whole sets of manga in Chinese up for reads as well if you're a manga fan.

Not the typical Japanese restaurant you see outside. This place serves local delicacies such as stir fry pork liver to mapo tofu to Sang Mee(crispy fried noodle with sauce) I was in for a great shock of my life but it was late(9pm) and I wanted to eat Unagi with rice so badly. We ordered Unagi, and my spouse ordered what they recommended which is their so called special beef stew. Beef was very tender that's for sure but nothing at all Japanese about it. Certainly not the best dish I have eaten. Something that even your father in law who has never been to the kitchen can whip up that dish. Just make sure you slow cooked them. Guess what, for an exorbitant Rm52 ringgit.. you only get a small tiny bowl of beef(ala carte) No rice, nothing.Whereas my unagi set, comes with a eenie minnie tiny bowl of rice., some really pale looking shredded cabbage they called salad, 2 small slice of watermelon, seaweed soup. The Unagi came right out from the sea and went straight to the BBQ pit as it is. No debone, scale 100% intact. I couldn't find pleasure in eating the unagi because I'm not sure I'm really eating one because there was sooo much bones. The unagi skin I have to forego because the scale was so hard and covered the whole skin. In the end, that tiny piece of unagi, I had to just not eat the whole thing.. because of the scale and bones.. too damn difficult to eat. If they were very fine. You might still be able to just swallow them with your rice. As for the stew.. we had to order extra bowl of plain rice to eat with it.1 set of unagi (Rm 48+) plus 1 beef stew 52 plus 1 rice, the bill came up to Rm 115+ and both adults are only half full. I swear I could have gone to any Japanese shop, paid for 115, eat till I drop.

Lovely Japanese themed cafe connected to a lifestyle shop. Lovely interior deco, mesmerising sitting beneath the waving sheets of paper in the ceiling. Food was nice but experience somewhat spoilt by the inexperienced young servers and these terrible cheap utensils with such sharp edges.

This place has great ambience and the environment is quiet too. Good place to shop, to relax, to eat and to drink. Price wise is reasonable. Quality of food is quite good too.

I been here couple of times and never posted it , probably the food is so nice that makes me forget and walk out happily.Saturday morning brunch was my intention but was told lunch menu only 11.30am onwards. I though maybe order a few to keep my stomach quite for a while but never did I know it's enough and no space for lunch menu.Anyway, it's a nice place to drop by for either bfast, lunch or tea time. The curry is a must try ya. Tried the cakes before as well but no pics unfortunately . It's all yummy for what I can say. Must order match based drink too ya.Note : port free , can't confirm halal.

Update: Had the opportunity to try the weekday set lunches today. Definitely great value for money as you not only get a choice of ramen or fried rice, but you get great quality side dishes including salmon sashimi to go with your main entree. Will need to make more weekday visits. One of the better ramen establishments in Penang. Even though the price is higher, you do get what you pay for in terms of quality. Worth a visit to get authentic Japanese ramen experience without going all the way to Japan.

Can pick variety Oden or tempura dishes to match with ramen. The ramen taste is ok with its price RM6. The surprise part is its green chili.

A Japanese food with affordable price but taste can be improved. The shop located in one of busiest places in Penang. I didn't expect the price to be this cheap. The variety of food to choose from: Ramen, Curry Rice, Oden. I visited here 2 times before and after covid world. The shop changed a little. You can grab the food here as a snack and drink at the nearby shops.

I came to try this shop as it had a fairly high rating, and i happened to be in the area. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. At this price point, i would say it's average - not bad, but nothing to shout about either. I didn't like the metal seats, felt uncomfortable to sit in.

Food was average at best. Refillable ramen is just a gimmick...takes very long to serve the refill. Price of ramen is not reasonable for the quality....maybe to cover the cost of the refillable ramen.

Authentic Japanese ramen, they even have dry ramen. The white soup base is a bit light on the taste for me, but they have the option to choose saltiness when ordering, I might try another heavier soup base next time. The price is surprisingly reasonable compared with other ramen restaurants. The downside is their queue is always long, averaging about 30-45 minutes of waiting time.

Love the taste of their ramen with the onsen egg. Went for the kuro special. Really enjoyed it. Love that you can control the saltines and have few ramen condiments on the table for self service. Pretty crowded most of the time. I'd applaud their staff for good service and personal touch. My mask rubber band broke and when paying, the staff took out an individual packed mask and handed to me. Really appreciate that kind gesture👍🏻

A hidden ramen-ya in Ayer Itam housing area. Ordered Tonkatsu ramen, cheese curry ramen and shake shioyaki (salt grilled salmon). Tonkatsu ramen was served with milky white flavourful broth. Take a sip and you will know this broth has been simmered for long hours. Your lips will become slightly sticky after eating the ramen. Noodles were springy and eggs were soft-boiled. Char siew deserved thumbs up. Cheese curry ramen was ok. Straight forward, it tasted like japanese curry block with cheese. A bit ticklish to my throat. Shake shioyaki was normal, just a bit over-salty to my liking. Interior was full of cultural identity. Enjoyed the environment. Fall in love with those beautiful japanese themed ornaments. Price is standard. Public parking available.

Nice food (too hungry and only remembered to take photo of the 1st dish-ramen). Small place, estimate max 50pax. Parking was OK. -1 star was due to the ocha glass served with chip off. I didn't notice and when I drank it, it cut my lips a little. In addition, I ordered extra 1 side dish after my first order (est 5-8 mins later) but the dish came after we finished eating (waited another 5mins) as they said, it follows the order. (there are 3 tables in between my 1st and extra order). Should have not ordered the extra dish 😬 Anyway, I would recommend this place and I will come again.
